Moscow, 5 December 2005. The 5th Thematic Conference and Seminar "Psychophysiological Measures to Ensure Professional Reliability and Personnel Health and Safety – 2005"* opens today in Moscow.

The event has been organized by RAO "UES of Russia", the Moscow Power Institute (Technical University), MNTK "Nadezhnost" ("Reliability"), OOO "EcoPromCertifica" Scientific and Production Center, and the Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy.

The Conference and Seminar is chaired by Deputy Technical Director and Chief Technical Inspector of RAO "UES of Russia" Victor Pauli. The event programme was approved by Chairman of the Management Board of RAO "UES of Russia" Anatoly Chubais.

The Conference is attended by over 150 occupational health and safety executives and specialists from the energy companies of RAO "UES of Russia" who will discuss the issues of improving the regulatory framework, carrying out innovation programs and organizing management in the area of professional reliability, safety and health protection.

The event participants will get a training course "Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems According to OHSAS 18001 and OHSAS 18002". Upon completion of the course, they will receive certificates attesting knowledge required to implement the international standards in order to achieve a better professional risk management in the area of personnel health and safety activities.

The Conference will last until 10 December 2005.
