IES-Holding renewed physics classrooms at schools of Kirov Region

The best teachers of physics of Kirov Region got rewards, money prizes from IES-Holding as well as certificates for renewal and acquisition of teaching appliances/aids and laboratory equipment for physics classrooms.

On September 3, TGC-5 (IES-Holding “Ural Generation” division member) together with the Department of Education of Kirov Region summed up the results of and defined the winners of the competition “Energy of knowledge”. The competition was arranged for the teachers of physics of general educational institutions of the region in two categories – for the teachers of Kirov city and the regional towns as well as for the teachers of the district centers and small-sized rural area schools. Participation applications were received from 19 teachers, 10 of which are the teachers from the countryside.

The title “The competition prize winner” and the diplomas of the first degree were awarded to Vladimir Zagrai (Kirov physics and mathematics lyceum) and Evgeniy Lopatkin (School #1 of Yaransk town).

The title “The competition participant”, diplomas of the second degree were awarded to Yuriy Drozhdinin (Gymnasium #1 of K-Chepetsk town) and Valentina Podyacheva (gymnasium of Sosnovna town of Vyatsko-Polyansky district).

The third degree diplomas and money prizes were awarded to Anna Napolskaya (Vyatskaya humanitarian hymnasium) and Natalya Azanova (school #37 of Zuyevka town).

The teachers were awarded with money prizes and presents. The winners of the competition also got certificates from IES-Holding for the acquisition of teaching appliances and aids and laboratory equipment for the classroom of physics.

As it was stressed by the Department of Education of Kirov Region, it was the first case in the region when a business rendered such meaningful support to the secondary education.

Taking into account the uneasy personnel situation in the power supply industry, it is important for IES-Holding to establish long-term relationships with schools and Higher Education Institutions to create a solid base for the preparation of power supply specialists that are in demand on the labor market and have good professional preparation. The upgrading of the science teaching level is viewed by the power supply specialists as one of the main conditions to improve school-leavers preparation quality at their entering technical colleges which prepare professionals in this field.
