Volga TGC launched pilot operation of automated business control system on the basis of mySAP ERP software at four enterprises of the Company – VAZ TPP, Togliatti TPP, Balakovo TPP-4 and Saratov TPP-5.

Introduction of mySAP ERP software complex will permit Volga TGC to reach the conceptually new level of company management. Automated business control system will make it possible to computerize all basic business processes including: productive assets and funds management, book-keeping, financial, tax and management accounting, funds management, planning, investment activity, procurement, personnel management, equipment service and repair, contractual relations management, consolidated statements.

We remind that works on mySAP ERP-based automated control system started in January 2006, when Volga TGC started its operation activities. In the first year of project implementation the company’s IT-infrastructure was audited and conceptual design of the system was prepared. In May about 60 employees of pilot enterprises (book-keepers, economists, repairs planning specialists, stock-keepers, ACS engineers, etc.) were trained to use the system. After that the project team started system integration testing aimed at defects and shortcomings elimination.

Introduction of mySAP ERP-based automated control system is supposed to finish by April 2009. By that time the system will cover all 24 affiliates of Volga TGC, situated in Samara, Saratov and Ulyanovsk region, including separate subdivisions in Saratov and Ulyanovsk and 7 sales entities. Automated control system will also be integrated with automated control system of Orenburg TGC’s, SOXAD, based on SAP Business Suite software. In total about 1 500 users will work in the integrated automated system.
