Moscow, 28 April 2006. The Financial and Tax Accounting Department of the Corporate Center of RAO "UES of Russia" has been named Russia's Best Accounting Team 2005 for a second consecutive year.

The Best Accounting Team Awards are held to encourage the best accounting teams of companies and organizations that operate in different industries and are most successful in addressing accounting issues. The winners were named by the Expert Council which includes finance professionals specializing in reforming and modernizing national financial systems.

This year the Awards were given a higher profile by involving representatives of many Russian and international organizations. In particular, this year the Expert Council included representatives of the International Forum "Global Experience and Russian Economy" and the UK-based Chartered Financial Analysts Institute, who have considerable expertise in information analysis on the Russian securities market.
