A Board of Directors’ meeting is in progress at Gazprom’s Headquarters.

The Board heard a report on the implementation of a Plan of measures aimed at boosting gas supply to and constructing an underground gas storage facility in the Kaliningrad Region. The Board gave instructions to continue the work in said direction.

Over 2005 Gazprom has supplied the Kaliningrad Region with 720 MMcm of gas, which is 84 MMcm up on 2004.

In late 2005 the Company brought online the Kaliningrad Region-based Krasnoznamenskaya compressor station, completed the construction of a 63-km-long gas looping in the Republic of Lithuania and re-constructed the Shakyai gas metering station.

There are currently design studies for the construction of the Kaliningrad UGS facility.

Between 2003 and 2005 Gazprom has built 26.8 km of branch pipelines and distribution grids in the Kaliningrad Region. Under the Program on gas supply to RF regions for 2005 to 2007, the Company plans to initiate in 2006 the construction of five local 124.5-km-long pipelines to be operational in 2007.
