Evgeny Novitsky, the president of SISTEMA JSFC, held a series of meetings with representatives of India’s business circles during the visit to New Delhi by the Russian minister of industry, science and technologies Ilya Klebanov.

Being a co-chairman of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, technological and cultural cooperation between both countries minister Ilya Klebanov regards raising the level of investment activities of Russia and India in the area of high technologies in the first place as a top priority of their further collaboration. In the opinion of Ilya Klebanov, his meetings in New Delhi, including the one with India’s prime minister Atal Vajpayee, proved the serious mood of the Indian side as it was preparing for the forthcoming summit talks. It is expected that the visit of Russia’s president Vladimir Putin by the invitation of India’s leadership, which is to take place from December 3 to December 5, will give a new impetus to the bilateral cooperation, including mutual investments by business circles of both countries. At present SISTEMA JSFC is deliberating a number of investment projects in electronics and telecommunications with participation of Indian partners.
