Moscow, November 27, 2003. Vladimir Yevtushenkov, Chairman of the Sistema JSFC Board of Directors, was elected for another term to the Bureau of the RUIE Board at yesterday’s Board meeting of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (Employers). It will be remembered that the current Board membership was endorsed by the latest regular RUIE congress held in Moscow on November 14, 2003. Vladimir Yevtushenkov, Chairman of the Sistema JSFC Board of Directors, has been a Bureau member of the RUIE Board since 2000. In December 2001, he was made head of the RUIE’s Working Group for Industrial and Investment Policy, which was reorganized into an Industrial Policy Committee in February 2002. In October 2003, the Industrial Policy Committee merged with the working groups for reform of natural monopolies. The Russian Union and Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (Employers) is a nationwide nongovernmental organization that speaks for the interests of the Russian business community. It brings together more than 300,000 representatives of industrial, academic, financial, economic, commercial and entrepreneurial entities in all the constituent members of the Russian Federation that contribute around 80 per cent of Russia’s gross domestic product. The Bureau of the RUIE Board is responsible for day-to-day management of RUIE activities. It comprises 27 elected members and is renewed by at least a third every three years. Bureau meetings are held at least once a month.
