On November 16, 2001 MICEX held the initial public offering by open subscription for ruble coupon bonds issued by OAO CenterTelecom for a total value of Rub 6 mn.

The entire issue was placed by the underwriters within two hours after trading got under way. The issue was placed by Raiffeisenbank Austria, Troika Dialog and Moscow Business World.

The CEO of CenterTelecom, Alexei Lokotkov, said that the successful placement by way of open subscription once again showed that CenterTelecom is an attractive investment option, financially resilient, and very economically stable.
