Yesterday Severstal Sports Complex held finals of the first Young Steel Makers' Family competition. Ten families were chosen for the finals, who had to compete in the following three tasks: My family presentation, Family creativity ? To love sport is to be healthy.

Petr and Tatyana Yakiomovikh became all around winners. They bring up two children - Arina and Nikolai, which took active part in all steps of the competition. This family also received award for being the most creative. The head of this household is employed as an electrician in the Blooming shop, his wife is a graphic designer at the Repair of the Metallurgical Equipment shop #2.

The second place was taken by Valeri and Svetlana Andreevi. They are employed as dispatchers in the Technological Control shop. They also received an award for being The most musically inclined.

Third place was taken by Zagirbek and Oksana Ibragimovi. They are employed respectively in the Section Foundry and Industrial Safety department. They received The most sporty family award as well.

"Winners received audio and video equipment for prizes. Top winners will get to represent Severstal in the first industry's young family competition to be held April 19 in Moscow. This contest is organized by the Central Council of Mining and Steelmaking Industries' Trade Union of the Russian Federation.

The judges also gave away other awards to families named the most skilled, the most cohesive, the most artistic, etc.

The purpose of this contest which will most likely become a tradition is to promote healthy life styles and support young families, who keep positive company's traditions. The contest at Severstal was organized by company's personnel department and sponsored by Severstal sports club and trade union. To participate in the competition, family members must be under 35 years of age, be employed at Severstal, and have two children.
