Investment bank Brunswick UBS Warburg published a new rating of corporate governance risks, where Severstal has moved one position up as against March 2002. It has the same rating as Transneft, both leaving behind a number of leading companies, such as Gasprom and United Energy System of Russia.

Severstal's improved rating is a sign of company's higher than average financial stability. This is due to the availability of IAS accounting for several years and good investor relations.

Brunswick UBS Warburg rates risks of corporate governance of 24 companies, the rating is widely used by investors.
