ROSSETI Volga team (brand of IDGC of Volga PJSC) won the All-Russian competition of professional skills of personnel in repair and maintenance of distribution grids.

The competition was held from 21 to 26 July at the training ground ROSSETI Lenenergo in the Tervolovo village of Leningrad Region and united representatives of power grid and energy companies of Russia. 15 teams have been demonstrating their skills for six days.

ROSSETI Volga was represented by specialists of the Samara branch of the company. Power engineers demonstrated a high level of theoretical and practical training.

ROSSETI Volga team became the first in four of the seven stages of the competition, gaining the most points at the stage No. 5 on maintenance of the disconnector on the support of 10 kV overhead power line using a hydraulic lift; at the stage No. 6 on replacement of the 10 kV passage insulator at complete transformer substation with 10/0.4 kV  insulator; at the stage No. 3 on release of the victim from the action of electric current on the support of OPL-10 kV and first aid; at the stage No. 1 – verification of knowledge of the current regulatory and technical documentation – the team scored the maximum 200 points.

According to the results of the All-Russian competition the undisputed leaders of the competition were determined. With the result of 1,358 points the victory was won by representatives of ROSSETI Volga. The silver medal went to ROSSETI Lenenergo team, which received 1,304 points for completing stages. Bronze was won by the specialists of "ROSSETI Tyumen with a score of 1296.5 points.

Power engineers of ROSSETI Volga were also awarded in individual categories. Eugeny Shmakov – "Best master", Anton Shumilkin – "Best manufacturer of works". Nikolay Zhuravlev and Oleg Nikonorov are recognized as the best electricians, also power engineers received diplomas of 1 and 2 degrees of the Federal stage of the All-Russian competition of professional skills "Best by profession" held by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation.

In a solemn ceremony the Cup of the winner of the All-Russian competition of professional skills was handed over to power engineers of the company by Deputy General Director of ROSSETI PJSC – Chief engineer Andrey Mayorov. Now ROSSETI Volga team will represent the Russian Federation at the International competitions, which will be held from 15 to 22 September 2019 in Kazakhstan.

All-Russian competition of professional skills is an annual event of ROSSETI PJSC, which is held in order to improve the skills of safe work of electrical personnel, increase productivity and exchange of experience between employees of the group of companies.
