CHSPZ was notified that the quality of the test batch of pulp baling wire rolled in rozettes met all requirements of the Swedish client. The test lot was shipped in July of 2002. The client tested it with its own equipment and found it to meet quality standards in all respects.

In December, a test batch of pulp baling wire will be shipped to Finland. Regular shipments to this country will begin in 2003. This is the first time the Russian metal wire products company exports this product.

CHSPZ' strategic business plan directs to increase the share of export sales from 22% in 2002 to 30% in 2006. This will be possible largely due to the implementation of the service oriented strategy, which was put in place in 2001.

The quality of service is the main criterion, which is used to evaluate the provider of products. Therefore, all company programs and projects are aimed at meeting customer quality requirements. For example, till recently pulp baling wire was shipped in coils. In Spring of 2002, the wire was first rolled in rozettes. They are the easiest to use and wire is unrolled more evenly.

This year overall volume of sales of CHSPZ' products to Scandinavian countries totaled 1,200 tonnes. It is expected to double next year, reaching 2,500 tonnes.
