This auction was held to prepare for electronic trading. The main criterion for selecting clients is the profitability of purchases. Over 100 buyers took part in the auction. Over 20,000 tonnes of rolled steel were sold. According to Dmitry Goroshkov, Severstal’s sales director, ”These auctions will be held monthly. They are important because they allow to significantly increase the number of clients and watch for new clients in the market closely”.
