The 10th telecommunications exhibition Norwecom 2003 opened yesterday in the LENEXPO exhibition complex (February 25, 2003). OJSC North-West Telecom traditionally participates in the exhibition and in its organizational committee.
The stand of North-West Telecom on the ground floor of the 4th pavilion is the largest at the exhibition. The exposition presents the latest achievements of OJSC North-West Telecom.
Norwecom’2003 visitors are introduced to a unique project of the Company – Jazz-Telecom. Jazz-Telecom is the first successful attempt to connect through an ATM network musicians located many kilometers apart and provide the effect of a live concert performance for the audience using on-line video broadcasting. At the exhibition, visitors could see how the jazz band, located in a remote building, are conducted by the art director of the Jazz Orchestra David Goloschekin from the Company’s exposition.
OJSC North-West Telecom has won a “North-West Telecommunications” award and has been named the best among fixed-line operators nominated for “XXI Century Telecommunications Solution” for its Jazz‑Telecom project. ». The award is instituted by the Russian Ministry for Telecommunications and Informatization and OJSC Svyazinvest.
