Today AO MOSENERGO held a corporate conference to summarize the company's results for the first nine months of 2001

According to Igor Goryunov, during the first nine months of 2001, the company maintained financial stability and production potential. AO MOSENERGO is confident that the 2001-2002 autumn and winter peak loads will not cause any strain.

Currently, the company is reviewing the capabilities of AO MOSENERGO's branches to handle 2001-2002 autumn and winter peak loads. The inspections are scheduled to end on November 2, 2001. On November 9, the company plans to hold a final technical meeting, to issue "passports of technical preparedness."

Mr. Goryunov also announced that capital construction plans are being successfully implemented. The volume of capital construction at AO MOSENERGO for 2001 was 5,990 million rubles. During the first nine months of 2001, the company invested in construction 3,115.7 million rubles (64% of the plan). In 2001, the company launched a 220 kV substation Kurkino and 110 kV substation Bitsa. A new 200,000 kVA automatic transformer has been launched at Borisovo substation, which improved the electricity supply to Orekhovo-Borisovo. To transmit heat from TEZ-27 to the North-Eastern district of Moscow, the company is constructing Ostashkovo heating pipeline that is expected to be commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2001.

The most important tasks for the fourth quarter of 2001 are the launch of power unit No.10 at TEZ-11 and boiler No.1 at GES-1.
