At this exhibition AO Mosenergo presented its best technical solutions in the area saving energy: polyurethane foam insulation, silphone compensators for heating lines, gas turbine unit TGU-11, and a complex steam gas unit with steam injection.

AO Mosenergo has pursued a comprehensive energy saving policy in the area of power generation and consumption. In 2001, the company developed and is currently implementing the Program of AO Mosenergo for Energy Saving Through 2010. Aleksei Konev has greatly appreciated this program. In his opinion, AO Mosenergo systematically and methodically continued to tackle the problem of saving energy. “AO Mosenergo looks good in comparison with other energy systems which formally approach the issue of saving energy. The strong side of the company is its technology training, personnel, organization approaches and ideology.”

In the area of saving energy AO Mosenergo cooperates with Mosgorenergonadzor, Mosoblenergonadzor, Center for Energy Effectiveness of RAO UES. Konev stressed that the success of AO Mosenergo's energy saving programs ultimately depend on interaction with these organizations, on the development of common approaches to the issue of energy studies and the saving energy as a whole.

Currently, the Center for Energy Effectiveness of RAO UES and AO Mosenergo launched a joint pilot project to carry out energy studies and implementation (based on the results of the project) of energy saving measures, including the introduction of new equipment and technologies. The project has already been launched and will be implemented at three facilities of AO Mosenergo-TEZ-22, TEZ-23 and heating grids.
