Electricity generation at heat power plants for 9 months of 2017 increased by 2.9% YoY thanks to demand growth in the North-West region. Comparable electricity generation by hydroelectric power plants increased by 3.2% as a result of higher water content at the branches against the previous year.

Based on the results for 9 months of 2017, heat generation of TGC-1, including PJSC Murmanskaya CHPP, comprised 16,575.6 thousand Gcal, which is 5.4% higher than in 2016. The growth was mainly caused by lower outdoor temperatures, as well as by a longer heating period.
Specific fuel equivalent consumption for both electricity and heat output for TGC-1 on average remained at the level of comparable values and amounted to 216.2 g/kWh and 170.0 kg/Gcal, respectively.

TGC-1 is the leading producer of electricity and heat in the North-West region of Russia. It operates 53 electric generating stations in four regions of Russia: St. Petersburg, Republic of Karelia, Leningrad Oblast, and Murmansk Oblast.
