Today's debt of Saratovenergo, PJSC to IDGC of Volga, PJSC totals 803 M rubles — three times higher than the budget of the annual repair program of Saratov branch of the electric grid operator. The Provider of Last Resort of the Saratov region both fails to fulfill its obligations and continues accumulating its debts: during the period from March to April its outstanding debt increased by 692 M rubles.
Increased by 209 M rubles during the period from this March to April, the debt of SPRES, CJSC rocketed up to 265 M rubles. The company has also failed to make the advance payments agreed for May.
NESK, CJSC also refrains from settling its debt for power transmission services totaling 25 M rubles that may grow further.
The appeals for keeping up with the payment schedule, especially at the early stage of sweeping repair campaign and preparation for winter period, apparently have no effect on debtors.
 As a result, the socially responsible business is at a disadvantage to its debtors. By all means, IDGC of Volga, PJSC will do its best to ensure trouble-free power supplies to its consumers. However, this situation will not last forever. Poor payment discipline and lack of funding may finally gear down the development and renovation of the regional electric grid complex, and thus affect the overall investment climate of the Saratov region. Non-payers may expose to risk both non-defaulting consumers and regional economy at large.
