29 September, 1997. - The LUKOIL-Racing team won the first place in all the classes and gained the largest number of points in the Moscow Open Rothmans-ASPAS cup circuit races staged in May-September 1997 as part of the official program marking the 850th birthday of Moscow.
LUKOIL-Racing's Alberto Piedemonte led in Formula-3 class with 31 points, followed by his team-mate Viktor Maslov, 26 points.
LUKOIL-Racing's Nikolai Bolshikh also won 26 points and a second place in the Supertourism class. Briton Richard Kay, his team-mate, did not drive in all the heats but won as many as 19 points and the fourth place.
Young Dmitry Kovalyov of LUKOIL-Racing-2 won 25 points and the second place in the Tourism class. He was followed by Dmitry Zorin, 19 points, and Viktor Cherevan of LUKOIL-Racing.
