The 10 kV overhead line of Orenburgenergo — the Eastern Production Department (PD) of branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (a member of Rosseti Group of Companies) — provides power supply for facilities of gas transmission company, cryolite plant, several settlements in Kuvandyk District of Orenburg region. According to the reconstruction program the power engineers changed 707 wooden supports with reinforced concrete, mounted more than 62 kilometers of self-supported insulated wire. By the end of the year the staff of the Eastern PD should install on the power line 2 points of automated “islanding” — reclosers. These devices will significantly improve the reliability and quality of power supply to consumers, since only the damaged portion of the circuit is switched off in case of emergency. This technical solution will ensure lower emergency shutdown rates and reduce the line maintenance costs. Other branches of IDGC of Volga, PJSC also work at the successful implementation of the program: Ulyanovsk Distribution Grids (DG), Penzaenergo, Mordovenergo, Chuvashenergo, Samara DG and Saratov DG.
