Rosseti PJSC and UAZ PJSC have signed a strategic partnership agreement that envisions long-term cooperation in using UAZ technology to service electrical grid facilities.
The agreement was signed by General Director of Rosseti PJSC Oleg Budargin and General Director of UAZ PJSC Vadim Shvetsov.
According to the agreement, the two companies will work on developing special new versions of UAZ vehicles for the needs of electrical grid distribution companies, and joint measures to renew the Rosseti vehicle fleet.
The cooperation agreement also includes provisions on the development of service infrastructure for the effective and reliable operation of UAZ vehicles by subsidiary and subordinate companies of Rosseti PJSC, and the training of specialists in the servicing and repair of automobiles. Due to the broad geographic distribution of Rosseti’s electrical grids, the availability of UAZ service centers across the country has been a critical issue, as have been the availability of all spare parts and common standards for the technical servicing of automobiles.
Oleg Budargin said that Rosseti Company was planning a range of measures to increase the share of purchases of Russian-made products, and noted that the agreement had been signed to facilitate the development of the Russian automobile sector.
Vadim Shvetsov, General Director of UAZ PJSC, said that “Rosseti was one of our key customers, and has been using UAZ equipment in various regions of Russia, including hard-to-access areas of the country. I am proud that we have decided to expand our strategic partnership: this gives us a chance to offer Rosseti’s comprehensive solutions to optimize time and cost expenditures. Additionally, our practical experience and broad production capabilities will allow us to develop custom-tailored projects that precisely mirror the goals and requirements of our partners.
