Lenta opens its0first hypermarket in Khanty-Mansiysk

With this opening, Lenta expands its network in the Urals to 14 hypermarkets in 7 cities

St-Petersburg, Russia; 30 December, 2015 – Lenta, (LSE, MOEX: LNTA) one of the largest retail chains in Russia, is pleased to announce the opening of its first hypermarket in Khanty-Mansiysk.

The new store is a Lenta compact format hypermarket located at 9 Obezdnaya str., Khanty-Mansiysk. The store has a total area of 9,100 sq.m, with 4,680 sq.m of selling space and is open from 8 am to 12 pm, seven days a week. A broad product assortment of 19,000 SKUs has been selected specifically for residents of Khanty-Mansiysk and includes Lenta’s private label and federal product ranges alongside local produce. The store has 532 parking spaces and 29 cash registers. The property is owned by Lenta.

Lenta’sChief Executive Officer, Jan Dunning said:

The opening in Khanty-Mansyisk is Lenta’s thirty-second hypermarket opening in 2015 and brings the total number of Lenta stores to 140 hypermarkets in 69 cities across Russia and 32 supermarkets in the Moscow region and St. Petersburg.

Lenta operates 140 hypermarkets in 69[1] cities across Russia and 32 supermarkets in Moscow and St. Petersburg, with a total of approximately 889,260 sq.m of selling space. The average Lenta hypermarket store has selling space of approximately 6,100 sq.m. The Company operates six owned hypermarket distribution centres.
