Rosneft and the Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprise signed a cooperation agreement, which envisages an increase of the volume of small and medium enterprises in Rosneft procurements. The document was signed by Rosneft Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin and the Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium General Director Alexander Braverman.
The signed agreement envisages the implementation of joint programs, aimed at boosting the volume of Rosneft procurements from small and medium enterprises, among other things of high-technology and innovational production. In accordance with the signed document the parties will undertake organizational and informational assistance to SME entities with regard to issues, related to Rosneft procurements.
The agreement also envisages the analysis of the legal and regulatory framework of the Russian Federation in the area of procurement organization and the elaboration of proposals aimed at the improvement of the legislation.
After the signing Igor Sechin said that: “Active participation of small and medium enterprises in operations of leading Russian companies represents an important element of the development of the economy of the country. Rosneft has been building for years its cooperation with SME entities. We hope that the implementation of the signed agreement will boost the development of small and medium enterprises in our country and will enhance the efficiency and transparency of some Rosneft business segments”.
Alexander Braverman marked after the signing that: “Without any doubts the dynamic development of the Russian upstream should become a driving force of the growth of small and medium enterprises. Our primary task is to form a data bank of reliable and competitive suppliers among SME entities, facilitate their participation in procurement processes. We are sure that an initiative will be joined by other leading Russian companies”.
