In 2014, the total electricity output by the TGC-1 power generating companies, including JSC Murmanskaya CHPP, amounted to 26,426 mln kWh, which is 9.8 % lower than in 2013.
The mains reasons for the reduction of electricity generation in 2014 were a general decline in electricity consumption, an ongoing downward trend in demand for electricity in the day-ahead market, and low water levels in the 1st— 3rd quarters of 2014.

At the same time, work continued on the optimization and use of new and more efficient production capacities. Based on the results of 2014, the output of the new power generating units increased by 6.2 % up to 6,684 mln kWh (which is 25.3 % of the TGC-1 total output or 44.6 % of the output by CHPPs), and the company’s specific conventional fuel consumption for electricity output dropped on average by 4.8 % up to 262.27 g/kWh.
In 2014, the heat output was 24,339 thousand Gcal in total, which is 3.9 % lower than in 2013.
