Rosneft President and Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin and Krasnodar Territory Governor Aleksander Tkachev have signed a Cooperation Agreement between the Krasnodar Territory Administration and Rosneft for 2013-2017. This document is focused on creating favorable economic, legislative and organizational conditions for developing the social infrastructure of the Krasnodar Territory, implementing social projects in it, fostering investment activities, meeting Territory’s needs for the main types of petroleum products and natural gas.
The parties have determined the key areas of cooperation, including those in oil and gas production in the territory of the region, oil refining, sales of petroleum products. In particular, the agreements reached envisage the reconstruction of the existing and construction of new filling stations and facilities, objects for gas treatment and transportation to consumers in the Territory, as well as joint control over the quality of petroleum products and adherence to safety standards in the process of selling them in the region. Besides, the Agreement implies the possibility of taking measures aimed at increasing gas supplies and selling gas to the economic complex of the Territory.
A special place in the Agreement belongs to social and economic cooperation issues. Thus, the Company undertakes to participate in the implementation of specific regional social and economic programs and finance the construction and development of social objects, including those meant to develop the social sphere in Tuapse District and support the Dinamo volleyball club.
Commenting on this Agreement, Rosneft President I. Sechin emphasized: “The Krasnodar Territory is one of the key regions of the Company’s activities. For a long time we have been successfully accomplishing not only production tasks in the region, but are also actively participating in the region’s social and economic development. Rosneft will continue to adhere to mutual cooperation principles that will provide the economic, social, environmental stability of the region and its dwellers”.
