The electricity output by generating enterprises of the Company including Murmanskaya CHPP in 2011 amounted to 28,362.1 million kW/h, which is a 4.4% increase compared to 2010. CHPPs’ output increased by 14.8% (16,339.4 million kW/h as compared to 14,238.9 million kW/h in 2010).  Due to a relatively low water content in the Republic of Karelia and Leningrad Oblast the HEPPs’ output reduced by 7% (12,022.7 million kW/h as compared to 12,922.9 million kW/h in 2010).

Increase of the electricity output amounted to about 2.5% in the 4th quarter of 2011. The heat output including that of Murmanskaya CHPP amounted to 26,052.9 thousand GCal, which is a 9.6% reduction as compared to the same rate in 2010, in particular, 7,783.1 thousand GCal in the 4th quarter (-19.7%). The heat output reduction is due to higher ambient air temperatures in regions of the Company’s presence. In particular, the average temperature in the heating season of 2011 was 2.9îÑhigher than the same rate in 2010.
