“IDGCNorth-West” and JSC “VimpelCo”  launched a project for joint use fiber-optic communication lines in the North-West region

JSC "IDGC North-West” and JSC “VimpelCom” launched a project for joint use fiber-optic communication lines (FOCL) in the North-West region. This will improve power supply reliability and monitoring of technological objects of “IDGC North-West”.

In March 2011, “IDGC North-West” held a competition for contracts on joint use fiber-optic communication lines, owned by power grid company. The winner became “VimpelCom”. The first contract provides for the rent of optical fibers IDGC North-West, the second contract concerns the provision of telecommunications services to the needs of "IDGC North-West."

The project will include fiber-optic resources in all seven branches of IDGC North-West and will be implemented in four phases until 2014. For the first phase were selected branches "Pskovenergo” and “Novgorodenergo”.

Currently IDGC North-West  has over 12 thousand kilometers of fiber-optic communication lines placed in seven regions of Russia. The project involved 216 sites.

The winner of the inter-regional competition of professional skill of dispatching personnel of branches JSC "IDGC North-West” was the team " Pskovenergo"

From 25 to 29 April, in Vologda (training center" Energetic") were held competitions of professional skills of dispatching personnel of branches of JSC "IDGC North-West”
Chief Expert of  Department of Operations and Technology Management “ Holding IDGC” Dmitry Klyuev attended on the competition and learned all the regulatory and supporting documentation of the event. In the words of Dmitry Klyuev, his task - to evaluate the level of the competition for further transmission of this positive experience to other distribution grid companies.

The winner of the inter-regional competition was the team" Pskovenergo ", which received 905 points. At the second place was the team “Kolenergo”( 901 point), and at the third place  the team of "Arkhenergo”, who scored 875 points.

According to team leader of "Pskovenergo”, Chief of dispatching Service Viktor Gavrilov , rich experience helped them to win. 

For the first time, the best dispatcher will join the team of IDGC North-West, which will participate in the All-Russia competitions of professional skills under the patronage of “Holding IDGC”.
