Transhipment Terminal JSC Norilskiy Nickel in Murmansk is connected to the electrical network of IDGC North-West Kolenergo from 30 December 2010. The total capacity of connection was performed by 2.6 MW, the voltage level - 6 kV.

As noted by the head of a prospecting development and technological connection department of  Kolenergo Sergei Zaborschikov: "The object was connected to the network, due to held in 2009 reconstruction of substation-5 with the replacement of the transformer T-2 to the more powerful - 63 MVA, thereby creating conditions for connection new consumers. "

The complex reconstruction of substation-5 (110/35/6 kV) has become the largest investment projects of Kolenergo last year. Capital investments totaled 80 million rubles.
