A scheduled meeting of the Working Group consisting of LUKOIL and ROSNANO state corporation specialists was held yesterday in Elektrogorsk (Moscow Region) within the implementation framework of the General Strategic Partnership Agreement signed between the companies on October 8, 2009.
The Working group is set up to coordinate preparation and implementation of top priority projects and activities to commercialize nanotechnologies and introduce them to the oil and gas sector, including LUKOIL Group enterprises.
The industrial base of OAO RITEK (a wholly owned OAO LUKOIL subsidiary) for oil recovery enhancement reagents production served as the meeting venue.
The innovative technologies and materials developed by OAO RITEK specialists were the basic topics for discussion at the meeting:
- application of RITIN-10 chemical reagent and its modifications at the fields with different geological and physical properties;
- methods of thermal gas impact upon the deposits of Bazhenovskaya suite in the Western Siberian region;
- elaboration of techniques for thermal gas acid fracturing accompanied by monopropellant application.
ROSNANO proposals for application of multifunctional nanocoatings, the associated petroleum gas desulfurization technique and a number of other issues were discussed at the meeting by the Working Group.
At the end of the meeting, the companies’ specialists praised the unique equipment of OAO RITEK, which served as the basis for elaborating highly efficient state-of-the-art techniques that have allowed to boost the oil recovery and provide a considerable economic benefit. At present, a number of LUKOIL enterprises participate in pilot operation of valves for deep-well pumps with nanocoating and nanoadditives to lubricants as well as introduction of a number of other nanotechniques.
