On 28 September   the “Kommersant" published its annual rating of TOP 1000 Russian managers, which includes professional Russian managers, who are leaders in their industries or areas of expertise.

Based on this rating the deputy CEO and business director of the OJSC NWT Oleg Popov is among the best business directors (marketing directors) in Communications (4th position in the TOP).

The list of the TOP 1000 Russian Managers also included:

- The CEO of the OJSC North-West Telecom Vladimir Akulich, who was named among the best senior leaders in the industry.

- The deputy CEO and the director for economics and finance Venera Chusnutdinova, named among the best financial directors in Communications.

- The director of IT Andrey Jakovkin, named among the best directors of IT in communications companies.

The slogan of the "TOP-1000 Russian Managers" is “the best selected by the best”. The selection panel consists of the professional top managers who held the top positions in this rating the previous year. Each year 3000 - 3500 managers are nominated for the rating. 2000 candidates are shortlisted based on their appearance in the media. The panel selects the 1000 finalists included into the rating.

The managers of the OJSC NWT are usually among the TOP 1000 Russian Managers. The results based on the expert opinions show that the general public acknowledges not only the scale and significance of the OJSC North-West Telecom, but also the high professionalism and the reputation of its leading top managers.
