The Board of Directors’ meeting is underway at the Gazprom Headquarters.

The Board of Directors took to notice the information on Gazprom’s participation in activities with regard to preparing and holding the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.

The Gazprom Management Committee was entrusted with ensuring timely implementation of the activities.

Background:

On November 16, 2007 the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted the Federal Law “On the organization and conduction of XXII Winter Olympic Games and XI Winter Paralympic Games 2014 in Sochi, development of Sochi as a mountain-climatic resort and introduction of amendments into separate legislative acts of the Russian Federation”. The Law was adopted by the Federation Council on November 23, 2007.

Within execution of the Federal Law the Russian Government Decree #991 of December 29, 2007 and the Russian Government Decree #443 of June 11, 2008 adopted of the Program for the construction of Olympic facilities and development of Sochi as a mountain-climatic resort.

Governed by these legislative and subordinate regulatory acts, Gazprom entered into a number of agreements with the Olympstroy state corporation concerning arrangement of construction the following Olympic facilities in the Krasnopolyansk settlement district:

- ski complex for 16 thousand persons including assess motorway;

- four star 600 rooms hotel complex.

In addition, the Engineering infrastructure section of the Program involves construction of the Dzhubga – Lazarevskoye – Sochi gas pipeline to be executed by Gazprom.
