December 30, 2003, Moscow. – According to the established schedule Aeroflot-Russian Airline Director General signed leasing contract for six Il-96 airliners with Ilyushin Finance Company. The contract is sent for signing to Ilyushin Finance Co.

In compliance with technical requirements coordinated by Aeroflot the planes are to be supplied with the most advanced navigation and cabin equipment according to international standards.

New Il-96-300 airliners are ordered in two class layouts – improved business class and economy class. At the same time business-class passengers will be nicely surprised. For the first time Aeroflot supplies passenger compartments of this class with reclining seats of “cocoon” type that can be transformed into beds. The distance between the seats is determined to be 58 inches (1486 mm) that makes passengers feel maximum comfort.

The same layout and modernization of navigation and cabin equipment is also provided for six Il-96-300 airliners Aeroflot already has in its aircraft fleet. Their reequipping is to start in 2004.
