The Gazprom Headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Company’s Management Committee and Sergey Kudryashov, First Vice President of Rosneft.
The meeting addressed the progress with the Agreement on Strategic Cooperation between Gazprom and Rosneft. The parties also discussed matters of bilateral interaction in the area of gas supply to the Russian Federation constituents in the Far Eastern Federal District.

The Agreement on Strategic Cooperation between Gazprom and Rosneft was signed on November 28, 2006 for the period through 2015 with possible five-year extensions.
Pursuant to the Agreement, Rosneft and Gazprom will develop cooperation in the hydrocarbon prospecting, production, transportation and processing sectors; natural and associated gas purchase and marketing; electric and thermal power generation and marketing; oil & gas field and power equipment production; production capacities and infrastructure facilities development; sci-tech, information, ecological, social and personnel support.
In particular, the Agreement emphasizes that the parties are resolute to jointly participate in competitions and auctions to obtain subsurface use rights as well as in joint projects. Rosneft and Gazprom will coordinate their work and exchange geological information on joint projects when carrying out prospecting activities as well as developing geological and geophysical information databases. Gazprom and Rosneft are also intent on cooperatintg within projects aimed at creating gas processing and gas chemicals facilities in Eastern Siberia and the Far East.
