Perm. TGC-9 summarizes its environmental activity in 2007.
In 2007 TGC-9 investments in environment protection made 298.8 million rubles. The principle points of the company’s ecological activity were focused on water conservation, which was subsidized with 235.2 million rubles, air protection – 45.6 million rubles, soil protection and conservation – about 18 million rubles. TGC-9 invested 50.5 million rubles into the environmental protection in 2007.
Thanks to nature-conservative measures held in 2007 the company reduced emission of pollution agents into the atmosphere by nearly 8% (12 thousand tons). This includes reduction of sulfur dioxide emission by 16.5%, carbon monoxide reduction by 16%, nitric oxide reduction by 1.2%. Besides, 908.8 thousand tons of pollution agents were neutralized at TGC-9 treatment facilities.
The most significant measures on air protection at TGC-9 industrial units in Perm Region in 2007 were the introduction of two-phase fuel combustion circuit at the Perm HPP-9 boiler, repair of dust collectors and boiler burners at Zakamskaya HPP-5, repair of dust catching and aspirating facilities at Tchaikovskaya HPP-18. In Sverdlovsk Region in order to reduce the emission of pollution agents into the atmosphere there was held a repair of dust collectors and aspirating aggregates of the fuel conveying system at Nizhneturinskaya GRES, a repair of dust catching boiler units at Bogoslovskaya HPP, repair of some units of cyclone cell system at Krasnogorskaya HPP. Such measures as modernization of boilers and putting them to low-emission cyclonic fuel combustion (VIR-technology) at Vorkutinskaya HPP-2, repair of dust catching boiler units at the company’s power stations in Vorkuta and at Itinskaya HPP, repair of boiler burners at Sosnogorskaya HPP including correction of mode maps and diminishing of nitric oxide emission were the major nature-conservative measures conducted in the Komi Republic.
A great amount of works on water protection was carried out at TGC-9 industrial units in the last year: slopes pitching and filling of ash dumps, studying of influence of station waste waters on the environment, monitoring of ash dumps and slime pits influence on ground waters. One of the most important measures in this area was the continuation of construction of sections 3 and 4 of ash dumps at Vorkutinskaya HPP-2.
In 2007 there was carried out an ecological audit at OJSC “TGC-9” Branches in Perm and Sverdlovsk Regions. The ecological audit at the company’s industrial objects in the Komi Republic is taking place at the moment. During the check-up of TGC-9 Branches there was controlled the efficiency of organization of nature-conservative works, the operation quality of treatment facilities, monitoring completeness of influence on the environment. TGC-9 spent 3.8 million rubles for the ecological audit.
Thanks to the nature-conservative works fulfilled in 2007 there were no accidents with ecological implications at TGC-9 industrial units. The company is intending to continue realization of nature-conservative measures.
