The results of the tenth Russian competition “Manager of the year” were summed up on April 24^th in Moscow. The competition was held by the Free economic society of Russia and International Management Academy with support of Federation Council and the State Duma of FC of RF with the purpose of efficiency raise of management system of enterprises and organizations in different branches and fields and detection of the best managers of medium echelon – heads of organization departments.

One of the winners in the nomination “The best manager of the organization department – 2006” became Sergey Alexandrovich Novikov, Deputy Chief Engineer of “Syktyvkarskie heat networks”. 252 people are in his subordination.

Sergey Novikov has been working in power system since August 1993. During this time he has passed the way from the boiler house operator to the Head of Central hot water boiler house (CHB) of Syktyvkar. Under the direction of Sergey Novikov CHB collective reached high production and labour discipline, considerable improvement in providing regular and trouble-free operation of all objects of the boiler house, reliable heat supply of consumers.

In the year 2005 Sergey Novikov was given a Diploma of RAO “UES of Russia” for big personal contribution to power engineering development of Komi Republic.
