Gazprom production facilities are well prepared for operation in the fall/winter season. Maintenance work scheduled for 2007 at gas production and transmission facilities is accomplished in full.

Boris Posyagin said that in recent years the construction of new Unified Gas Supply System facilities had mainly been carried out within the developed Synchronized Schedule for High-Priority Gas Transmission Facilities Commissioning and other program documents. Currently Gazprom has developed and launched Synchronized Program for Gas Production and Transmission Facilities Commissioning 2007-2010.

Posyagin noted that the gas pipelines were expected to develop in the following directions in the years to come: construction of the Nord Stream gas pipeline, creation of a new network for gas transmission from the Yamal Peninsula and Unified Gas Supply System in Eastern Siberia and the Far East, construction and reconstruction of facilities for gas transfer from Central Asia and Kazakhstan.

A key subject of the session was developing cooperation between dispatch services including cooperation with third-party gas producers and newly created Gazprom UGS, Gazprom Pererabotka, Gazpromregiongaz, Gazpromenergo and other companies. Special attention was paid to the matters relating information system development and creation of an up-to-date automated dispatch decisions making support system.

It was noted that the upgrade of CPDD automated dispatch control system is a major goal for the Company. In addition, the participants of the session considered the matters of dispatching staff vocational training with the application of state-of-the-art techniques (computer dispatch simulators) among others.

In their speeches dispatch services representatives of Gazprom gas production and transmission companies raised issues related to further enhancement of dispatch control effectiveness, cooperation between dispatch services of Gazprom and third-party gas producers, as well as maintaining high reliability and trustworthiness of the Gazprom gas transmission system.

The session resulted in elaboration of the guidelines for the Unified Gas Supply System dispatch control development, as well as for real-time cooperation between the information systems and for their development till 2009.
