Today the Gazprom Headquarters has hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Alexander Volkov, President of the Udmurt Republic.
The parties discussed the progress with the execution of the Agreement of cooperation between Gazprom and the Udmurt Republic.
Particularly, the parties examined the prospects for Gazprom participation in the Republicís gasification. The meeting underscored that this issue will be examined within the development of the Draft Program of gasification in 2008. Additionally, the parties will consider the gasification program execution provided by the region in 2007. The branch pipeline construction and consumers preparation for gas intake in the region is currently performed due to the schedule.
The Republic Government will provide the justification for investment and designing estimates for local pipeline construction as well as the plant for regional consumer preparation to receive gas next year.
The Agreement of cooperation between Gazprom and the Udmurt Republic Government was signed on August 24, 2005. The Accord of gasification was signed on May 31, 2006.
The Udmurt Republic is gasified by 57 per cent including 72 per cent in cities and towns, 22 percent in rural area. The Russiaís average rates are at 54, 61, 36 per cent, respectively.
In 2006 Gazprom supplied nearly 3 bcm of gas to the Udmurt Republic and the same amount is slated for this year.
During 2003-2006 Gazprom committed some RUR 1 bln for the Udmurt Republic gasification. In 2007 Gazprom plans to commit RUR 400 mln for gasification of the Udmurt Republic, particularly to complete construction of 9 local with total length of 362 km.
The Udmurt Government Republic in its turn will commit RUR 414 mln for the local network construction.
