On Tuesday, January 30, a meeting will take place on the «Results of the Company’s industrial safety activities for 2006 and objectives for 2007» with power plant directors, representatives of RAO UES of Russia, the Moscow Government, Rostekhnadzor, Elektroprofsoyuz, and contractors.
On Wednesday, January 31, the General Director of OAO Mosenergo, A.Ya. Kopsov, will inspect the construction site of PGU-450T power-generating units No. 3 and No. 4 at TETs-27 and hold a meeting on current questions of the design and construction of the 420-450 MW steam-gas power-generating units at TETs-21, TETs-26, and TETs-27.
At TETs-27, installation of the power boilers in the new main building of power-generating unit No. 3 and preparation of the pile foundation of power-generation unit No. 4 are continuing. Installation of the main building’s steelwork is continuing at TETs-21.
Construction of new power-generating units and technical reequipment of OAO Mosenergo’s power plants are based on the latest steam-gas cycle technology, which guarantees an efficiency factor of 52-59% (at plants with steam-power units, the efficiency factor is no more than 38%). The highly efficient steam-gas units allow gas savings of up to 25%, while reducing harmful atmospheric emissions by one-third. Commissioning of the first PGU-450 steam-gas power-generating unit at TETs-27 will take place in the fourth quarter of 2007.
On Thursday, February 1, a meeting will be held on the construction of an expander generating plant at TETs-23, allowing the conversion of overpressure energy of natural gas into electric energy. Power is generated in the expander generating plant without burning gas and is distinguished by high energy-saving and ecological indices.
The world’s largest expander generating plant was installed at TETs-21 in 1995. The cost of power generated at TETs-21 is the lowest in OAO Mosenergo’s system.
