Total amount of investments in this project constituted 535.6 thousand USD. Now the capacity of Krasnodar Automatic Long-distance Telephone Exchange is 15 030 ports. As at 1 January 2003 39 towns and regional centers of the Krasnodar Territory are connected to the digital Automatic Long-distance Telephone Exchange including 32 localities connected to digital data transmission systems.

Capacity extension will make it possible to switch all towns and regional centers of the Krasnodar Territory to the digital Automatic Long-distance Telephone Exchange in the first quarter of 2003 and to close analog Automatic Long-distance Telephone Exchange ARE-13.

Closing of analog Automatic Long-distance Telephone Exchange ARE-13 will improve the quality of long-distance communication and reduce the operating costs. Economies of this extension will exceed RUR 8.4 million per year.
