TGC-1

January 27, 2021

TGC-1 presents its performance highlights for 2020

In 2020 electricity output of TGC-1, including JSC Murmanskaya CHPP, comprised 27,911.7 million kWh, which indicates an insignificant decrease of 1.3% compared to 2019 figure.

As the demand for electricity in the North-West energy system declined, the company introduced certain measures to optimize its production activities.  High water content throughout 2020 in the regions of its operation, allowed the company to redistribute the load from CHPPs to HPPs since the latter possess more efficient energy-generating equipment. In this case, the electricity output by hydro power plants increased by 13.5%, and the comparable electricity output at TGC-1 at the combined heat and power plants of TGÑ-1 decreased by 11.7%.
