In order to ensure reliable power supply to consumers in the autumn-winter period, IDGC of Volga, PJSC (included in the Rosseti Group) annually implements the repair program of the integrated power grid.
Works are carried out in the Saratov, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Orenburg, Penza regions, in the Republic of Mordovia and the Chuvash Republic. The plan of the repair program is prepared on the basis of instrumental studies and visual inspections of equipment that are conducted year-round. Mass repair work at substations (SS) and overhead lines (OL) transmission will begin after the end of the current autumn-winter period, when the power engineering specialists will be able to take the equipment into repair.
The main volume will be in the spring and summer months, and completion - at the beginning of October. This year, the power engineers are planning to repair more than 35 thousand km of 0.4-110 kV overhead lines. To ensure the stable operation of transmission lines, more than 81 thousand insulators and 13 thousand supports are to be replaced. Repair work will take place at 606 substations of 35-110 kV and 715 transformer substations of 6-10 / 0.4 kV.
An important direction of the repair program is clearing and expanding glades from tree and shrub vegetation. In order to avoid the fall of trees with the help of mulcher technology, power engineers will clear more than 5.5 thousand hectares of power lines of all voltage classes. Timely and high-quality repair work will allow the power engineers of IDGC of Volga to ensure the stable operation of power grid equipment and reliable power supply to consumers.
