Power engineers of the Samara Grids branch of Rosseti Volga (a brand of IDGC of Volga, PJSC) are overhauling the Bezymyanka-2 110 kV substation in Samara.
The power facility located in the industrial zone of the city is the main supply center of a number of enterprises, including the Samara meat-packing plant, the fat-processing plant, the Samara cable company, the packaging plant, etc. Another major energy consumer is Russian Railways.
Large-scale works at the facility are carried out as part of the annual maintenance and repair program. By the end of July, power engineers will have to carry out current and major repairs of both power transformers with a total capacity of 80 MVA, 37 circuit breakers, 76 current transformers, 4 overvoltage transformers, 4 disconnectors, 37 cells of a complete switchgear, etc.
Additionally, the building of the closed switchgear and the main control panel will be overhauled. For these purposes, about 2.4 million rubles were allocated.
The massive works under the 2020 repair program are being carried out by power engineers of Samara Grids in full accordance with the schedule. All activities for passing summer peak loads and the upcoming autumn-winter period 2020–2021 will be completed on time. This will improve the quality and ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers.
