In the branch of IDGC of Volga, PJSC (included in the Rosseti Group, PJSC) – “Penzaenergo”, it continues to implement a set of measures for improvement and development of the electric power metering system for electricity transmitted through the company's grids.
As part of the program for the development of a commercial electric power metering system in the retail market (at facilities up to 1 kV), experts will install 3,739 single-phase and 409 three-phase accounting system devices to consumers (legal entities and private individuals). These works will be conducted in Penzensky, Tamalinsky, Serdobsky, Belinsky, Kamensky, Gorodishchensky, Nikolsky, Vadinsky, Nizhnelomovsky, Spassky and Zemetchinsky districts of the Penza region.
The customers of “Penzaenergo” branch will be equipped with new generation metering devices with remote reading, measuring and metering of electricity and power with an accuracy class of 1.0 and above. In addition, the new meters have a built-in tariff that allows electricity metering at night and day time. It is known that the transition to a multi-tariff calculation allows the consumer to save.
In addition, new meters are installed to consumers of ”Penzaenergo” branch free of charge, which saves subscribers from the cost of maintenance and financing of the metering device. In addition, in order to calculate electricity balances and identify losses, 57 complete transformer substations of TP--6/0,4 kV will be equipped with three-phase metering devices, as well as 61 data acquisition and transmission devices. Data collection will be done remotely.
According to the program of development of the metering system in the retail electricity market at facilities over 1 kV, overhead lines of 6-10 kV will be installed 100 commercial metering stations (PKU) and one on the 35 kV overhead line. These devices are designed to measure and record the active and reactive energy of direct and reverse directions on the border of the balance between various market actors. All installed PKU will be included in the automated system of control and accounting of electricity (AMR). This will allow to increase the observability of overhead lines, to conduct more accurate analysis of the work of both individual overhead lines, their systems, and individual sections. In particular, the use of PKU allows you to track and the facts of theft of electrical energy.
The electricity metering development program has been operating in the Penzaenergo branch for over 8 years. A modern electricity metering system is an essential element in the implementation of digital transformation of electrical networks.
