Rosseti Volga (brand of IDGC of Volga, PJSC) and the Government of Samara region signed a cooperation agreement in the sphere of development of the power grid complex of Samara region. General Director of Rosseti Volga Vladimir Ryabikin, and the Governor of Samara region Dmitry Azarov have put the signatures under the document.

The actions of the Government and the interregional power grid company are primarily aimed at creating a positive investment climate and economic attractiveness of Samara region, as well as the strategic development of the electric power industry of the region within the framework of existing programs. Another key area of cooperation is the creation of conditions for the widespread use of innovative technologies in the construction, reconstruction and technical re-equipment, operation of power grid facilities.

Modernization of the power grid complex will be carried out with the use of digitalization technologies in the framework of the investment program aimed at improving the reliability and manageability of the 35-110 kV power centers, the 0.4-10(6) kV power grid, and improving the smart metering system. The agreement also provides for strategic cooperation in the framework of innovative development of the power grid complex, reduction of losses in the power grid, consolidation on the basis of the Samara Distribution Grids branch of municipal and state power grid facilities, alienated by the relevant authorities in the prescribed manner, improving the reliability of power supply and quality of customer service of Samara region.

The document is valid within 10 years. Modernization of the power grid complex, the use of the latest "digital" solutions are designed to ensure reliable operation of the power grid facilities of Samara region, uninterrupted power supply to consumers and to achieve the industry development targets set by the Government of the Russian Federation and Rosseti Group of Companies.
