During the working visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to Naberezhniye Chelny Rosneft and KAMAZ signed Strategic Partnership Agreement. The document was signed by Rosneft Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin and OJSC KAMAZ Director General Sergey Kogogin in the presence of Vladimir Putin.
The agreement envisages meeting Rosneft’s transport demand including supply, maintenance, staff training and elaboration of vehicles` specialized modifications. 18 vehicles modifications have been defined in view of the production requirements and operation terms: tractor units, crane trucks, hoist units, oilfield vehicles, buses, oil tank trucks, etc. More than 2000 vehicles will be supplied to Rosneft during 2016-2018 at the first stage of the Agreement.
Following KAMAZ trucks supply Contract, signed on December 18, 2015, Rosneft and KAMAZ formed an order for the first batch of 1000 special purpose vehicles to serve Company’s fields. Equipping of Rosneft truck fleet with modern products of domestic truck industry will enable to improve business efficiency and reduce operating costs by truck fleet modernization and service optimization.
This agreement defines cooperation strategy between the companies to develop domestic production and will contribute to the import replacement programs execution.
