The most important works of the investment activity of the Company carried out in the III quarter of 2009.

“Arkhenergo” branch of IDGC of North-West completed the reconstruction of substation of 35/6 kV No.8 in Isakogorsk. The basis for the reconstruction was the large physical wear-out of the equipment and the building of the substation which was put into operation in 1954. For the moment of reconstruction the technical wear-out of the equipment of the substation accounted for 70%.

Research and development works were carried out in 2006, the construction and installation works were started in May of 2008. They carried out the works directed to the construction of the foundations for the transformers with the installation of the oil bowls as well as the substitution of the old oil channels by new ones. They also carried out the reconstruction of the building site of the open and closed distribution devises, developed the scheme of information and heating, as well as the complete substitution of the current devises of relay and automatic protection, secondary chains and the cable connections. Besides this, the automated system of the power account was installed at the substation. It allows decreasing the losses in the power grids of “Arkhenergo”.

As a result of the carried out reconstruction the reliability of the power supply of the housing and utilities sector was increased  as well as those of the specially important objects and the Arkhangelsk department of the Northern railway, Ship repair yard of the Northern River Shipping Lines, wood processing enterprise, boiler houses and the purifying stations. The costs for the implementation accounted for RUR 63, 206 million

 “Arkhenergo” branch of IDGC of North-West completed the reconstruction with the current design of the relay protection devises, communication means and the telemechanics of the overhead lines of 110 kV “Zaovrazhie” in the industrial subdivision called “Kotlasskiye Electric Grids”. As a result of the carried out works they provided the constant control of the condition of the high voltage line, and consequently, the reliability of power supply of the consumers of the district is increased.

The reconstruction of the object began in spring of 2008. They carried out the design the high frequency relay protection of differentiated phase protection at the sections of “Zaovrashie-Solvychegorsk” and “Solvychegorsk-KTsBK”, installed the gadgets of the failure prevention automation and other equipment.

As well, within the framework of the reconstruction project they organized the direct channel between Arkhangelsk regional dispatch administration (RDA) and substation “Solvychegorsk”, acquired and installed the equipment for the organization of the tele-changes transition and tele-alarming with “Limenda” substation and “Solvychegorsk” in RDA. As a result of the carried out works, they carried out the stable functioning of the relay protection of the overhead line of 110 kV “Zaovrazhie-1”, regulated the subsystem of connection and telemechanics. The costs for the realization of the project accounted for RUR 30.169 million.

“Vologdaenergo” branch of IDGC of North-West completed the construction of the tapping of 110 kV overhead line at “Krasavino” substation. They will carry out the transmission of the electric power worked out by “Krasavino” substation through the new overhead line of 5.44 km for the power supply of the consumers of Velikiy Ustyug and the neighboring districts. Together with this, the carried out electric power will be directed to the power supply of such important objects as oil pumping station, gas compression station and the oil-filling terminal. The costs for the realization of the project accounted for RUR 42.826 million.  

“Komienergo” branch of IDGC of North-West put into operation the power transmission line of 10 kV, which is called “Vylgort-Elyaty” in the suburbs of Syktyvkar. The new object will allow to connect the electric grids to 90 houses of “Sosnoviy Bereg” cottage village and increase the reliability of power supply of the consumers of the village of Elyaty, the Syktyvdinsliy district.  Within the goals of the investment project “Komienergo” built 4.6. km of power transmission line at the concrete bearing constructions, 1.2. km of cable lines, two distribution units, installed two transformers of  10/0.4 kV of the total capacity of 800 kVA. They also carried out the reconstruction of the current overhead power transmission line of 10 kV and the distribution device.

The construction of the line of 10 kV “Vylgort-Yelyaty” is the part of the large program directed to the power provision to the new residential areas construction and the development of the industry of the southern power unit of the republic. Putting into operation of the new line was possible due to the construction and launching in December of 2007 of 110/10 “Vylgort” substation. Costs for the realization of the project accounted for RUR 36.24 million. 

“Novgorodenenrgo” branch of IDGC of North-West completed the construction and put in to operation of substation of 110/10  kV “Novoye Rakhino” of 2õ10 MVA capacity. The substation will help to increase the quality and the reliability of power supply of the Northern-Easters part of the Krestetskiy district and the reliability of the power supply of the consumes of the 1 category of LLC “Belgrankorm – Vlikiy Novgorod”.

Substation “New Rakhino” was carried out of the modern highly reliable equipment with the maximum automation and the increased reliability of the service. At the substation they installed two transformers of 10 MVA. The distribution devise of 110 kV was carried out by the cells with SF6 circuit breakers. The relay protection and automation of substation  “New Rakhino” is the microprocessor one. They installed the digital channels of connection and equipment for the organization of the dispatch connection, telemechanics and  automated information and measuring energy metering system together with automated information and measuring system of power account, video surveillance and monitoring of the relay automation devices. “Telechanel” device of telemechanisation is connected with operative information and management complex of Valdaiskiye electric grids which provides the transmission of  tele information for the dispatch remote of Valdaiskiye electric grids.

The perimeter and the premises of the substation are equipped with the security alarm and the system of the video surveillance. For the construction of “Novoye Rakhino” substation they spent RUR 245.97 million. They directed RUR 59.3 million to the carrying out of the technological connection of the complex of the breeding, slaughter and the treatment of the broilers at LLC “Belgrankorm Velikiy Novgorod” with the construction of 8.65 km of overhead lines of 10 kV and the mini-substation of the module type with the total capacity of 11.66 MVA
