General costs directed to the provision of the industrial safety of the personnel for the reporting period in comparison with the previous year increased almost 10% and were over RUR 150 million.

According to the reporting data presented by the labor safety department of IDGC of North-West, the results of 9 months showed that more than RUR 10,600 million was spent for each person within the framework of the labor safety activities. The total costs of the Company according to this article of expenditures since the beginning of the year accounted for RUR 150 million 776 thousand which is 13.5 million more than the amount of costs for the labor safety of the same period of 2008.

In particular, they directed more that RUR 106 million to provide the workers with the individual protection means. They noted the growth of the financing for the activities directed to the prevention of the accidents, industrial diseases and total improvement of the labor conditions. They carried out the assessment of 9,511 working places out of 10,557.  

The increase of the amount of financing of activities directed to labor safety in 2009 in accordance with the correspondent period of the past year, increase of the control over the productivity of the carried out activities is connected with the fact that IDGC of North-West program directed to the decrease of risks of power traumatism occurrence is approved one of the priority tasks of the company in the current year and for the long term.
