The Murmansk Region Governor thinks that the implementation of such a major project as Shtokman’s one, from the point of view of the electric power, shall very clearly be connected with the scheme of the regions power supply.

The working meeting of Dmitry Dmitrienko, Governor of the Murmansk Region, and Yuriy Komarov, Executive Director of Shtokman Development AG took place. The parties discussed the conditions of the largest in the Polar region project implementation and had the time out till May to develop the proposals expressed during the joint proposals consultations.

According to the Head of the region, the principle issue of the future meeting which is planned to be around May the 20th shall be the scheme of the project power supply.

Dmitry Dmitrienko, the Governor, thinks that the implementation of such a major project as Shtokman’s one from the point of electric power shall very clearly be connected with the scheme of the regions power supply.

This point of view got the strong support of power engineers. According to Alexander Mikhalkov, IDGC of North West, JSC Development and Services Implementation Deputy General Director, the “power engineers shall have the clear understanding of the fact where and for what term it is necessary to construct the power objects for the timely power supply of all the future construction objects”.

“There is the definitely set term of bids examination for technological connection and their satisfaction. We wouldn’t like to be in the situation where we have to speed up to reach: we need the capacity today, but we can provide it only in a year”, said A. Mikhalkov.

Sergey Gubich, Director of Kolaenergo branch of IDGC of North-West, JSC  (on the photo) reminded that within the framework of the joint meeting with the representatives of Shtokman Development AG which took place on January 2009 and Giprospetsgas designer concerning the issues of power supply of the integrated development objects of  Shtokman’s gas-condensate field, the agreement was reached aimed at the preparation of the applying documents for the support of power supply of the transitional settlement.
