ROSSETI

December 4, 2020

Russian-Serbian business council jointly held by Pavel Livinskiy and Marko Èadež, president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce

The video conference was attended by Nenad Popoviæ, Minister of the Republic of Serbia, who was recently appointed the new Co-Chairman of the Russian-Serbian Intergovernmental Committee for Economic Cooperation.

Pavel Livinskiy, Head of Rosseti and Chairman of the Business Council for Cooperation with Serbia, mentioned in his welcome speech that the pandemic had some impact on the interaction between the two countries, but it wasn't dramatic. For 9 months, the trade amounted to almost $1.5 billion.

The implementation of large-scale projects in Serbia continues with the participation of Russian companies in various fields of activity, including FEC, transport, mechanical engineering, chemical industry, IT.

The power industry is among the promising areas of cooperation. Rosseti are considering options for synergy in such areas as digital transformation, green energy and storage systems development, electromobility, smart grids, and power grid management in major cities.

"The Business Council is ready to help companies from both countries in the implementation of joint and mutually beneficial initiatives. I believe that the cooperation will continue to develop. Russian business community representatives are able and ready to share their experience and promising developments. It is important to bring the representatives of art, culture, science and education into our dialogue. This will make our cooperation more profound and trustworthy", commented Pavel Livinskiy.
