ROSSETI

December 10, 2018

The International Electrical Networks 2018 Forum exceeded the expectations of participants and organizers

In 2018, for the first time, the International Electric Networks 2018 Forum (MFES-2018) was organized by PJSC ROSSETI and became an important and topical industry event of the year.

During the Forum’s work, more than 15,000 people attended the Forum’s events, which is more than was originally expected even according to the most ambitious forecasts.

This year, the forum’s status has grown significantly. Thus, Alexander Novak, the head of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, took part in the work of the first day: he made a detour of the expositions and solemnly opened the MFES-2018.  For four days, the heads of federal and regional legislative and executive authorities were involved in the business program, including the governors Anton Alikhanov (Kaliningrad region), Yevgeny Savchenko (Belgorod region), Alexander Brechalov (Udmurt Republic), Alexander Gusev (Voronezh region), heads of the largest grid and power generating companies, manufacturers of equipment for the electric grid complex, scientific organizations and associations, Russian and foreign experts in power industry.

402 exhibitors from 27 countries worldwide were represented in the exhibition program, and this was a new record, too; more than 330 experts took part in discussion panels and round tables.
Such innovative companies as Energomera, Ekra, PLC, Tavrida Electric, GIDROMONTAZH, ZETO, INFOTECH GROUP, INCOTEX-SK, SIEMENS, KEMONT, UNECO, Shneider Electric, MIR, Inc., PROSOFT SYSTEMS, TESMEC RUS, 1C, HUAWEI, SKOLKOVO, Hyundai Industries and many others have demonstrated their innovative developments.

In 2018, PJSC ROSSETI established the ROSSETI Quality Mark. The Award Provision stipulates that the Mark shall only be assigned to products that have a positive conclusion from the attestation commission of PJSC ROSSETI.  This year, 42 companies were awarded the Quality Mark, 90% of which are Russian companies.

The broadest variety of issues concerning the industry's digital transformation has been widely discussed within the framework of the Forum. The round table participants spoke on a variety of topics such as  cybersecurity, technological innovation, personnel development, cooperation with small and medium-sized businesses, international interaction, space technology - this is not a complete list of areas addressed during the discussions of the MFES.

Besides, on the second day of the Forum, the ROSSETI's Digital Breakthrough award ceremony took place.  From now on, the best projects and initiatives that contribute to the implementation of digital solutions in the power grid complex will be awarded with this prize.

The practical result of the Forum was that 14 cooperation agreements were concluded on the sidelines of the MFES-2018.  The mass media showed high interest in the Forum as more than 120 media covered the Electric Networks’ events.

In 2019, the International Electrical Networks Forum will be held from 3 to 6 December.
